South Cerney Riding School

Many years ago South Cerney Riding School began its days in South Cerney , hence the name. It is now found in the nearby village of Cerney Wick. The school is a busy and popular riding centre with facilities which include an indoor and outdoor school, club house/lecture room, tack room and stabling.

Pupils of all ages and standards are catered for. It is believed that riding should be fun and that skills and confidences need to be built at an individual pace.  As well as the weekly lessons and hacks, the school runs various activities and events throughout the year that include jumping, gymkhana games and picnic rides to name but a few.

A range of pupils enjoy weekly lessons and we aim to get each child at least to try the experience.  We do have a handful who have, over time, become competent and also a few who are just starting.

A chance to be out in the open air, enjoying the horses and the tranquility it all brings.

Our continued thanks and support goes to Helen who does such a fantastic job.

Scott W is now doing a work experience placement with Helen following on from the huge success Amy Round had there. Amy is now in full time employment at a local international dressage yard. Amy is a full time groom, looking after many top competition horses. She lives on site in her own cottage, no doubt working 5/6 days a week and long hours, but is enjoying life!!!!!!
